Rules at Serenity
There are a few guidelines around the use of the Nature Reserve for everyone’s safety.
Use at your own risk, we are not responsible for accidents, so please follow the rules below:
1. RESPECT NATURE - This is the home of many animals and plants.
2. Do not feed or approach animals.
3. No motorized vehicles other than in the designated parking areas; and bicycles are not allowed on the property.
4. No video games, radios, electronic devices allowed other than cell phones.
5. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property.
6. Enjoy nature but please do not pick plants or wildflowers.
7. Pack out all garbage.
8. Leave only footprints; take only pictures.
9. Intended for public use daily from Dawn to Dusk only.
We can only reap nature’s optimal benefits if the natural environment is healthy.
When we care for the environment, we value it. Our appreciation, love, care and protection are direct outcomes of our experience and relationship to nature, now, and for generations to come.
Wildlife at Serenity
There is plenty of Wildlife to be seen here at Serenity Nature Reserve.
We challenge you to identify the migratory and nesting birds, as well as the butterflies that you can find.
Friends of Serenity
During the month of February and most of April, a tireless group of volunteers from the Grand Bend Pickleball Club, volunteered to clear out tree-stumps, tumbled down thick bush, garbage and open up large swaths of land to build boardwalks over wet areas of the property to make the new trails accessible. We opened to the public in July 2024. The main trail is chip and dust that was built up by Creamer Construction, LLC, a local company. Our local Mike MacLean’s Home Hardware has been an exceptional partner in providing and delivering the outdoor wood for the boardwalks. The benches that are located throughout the property are from Mike MacLeans Home Hardware too.
