Serenity Nature Reserve was purchased for the same reasons our Foundation bought the land for Solitude Nature Reserve, to provide a green space for everyone to walk, play, explore and enjoy nature. Managed according to our mission to preserve a natural environment where the public can enjoy nature, and also, equally important to restore forest conditions within open areas of the property.

It is with excitement to say that we have a mostly deciduous forest that contains: Sugar maples, Soft maples, Cottonwoods, Poplars, Black cherry, Walnut, White birch, and as many as 20 more different species. It will be fun getting to know your woods.

In the future there are plans for a day-use area with picnic tables and a composting toilet, and a walking trail around the wetlands to enjoy the birds and wildlife who depend on a wetlands for their survival.

“It is a real gem in South Huron and close to Grand Bend residents. Serenity Nature Reserve is a great opportunity to find Solitude. ”
